Kit and kin

We were once kit and kin

Seen everywhere, laughing all the time

We were once kit and kin

We were once kit and kin

Strolling all the night, talking all the time

We were once kit and kin

We were once kit and kin

Friendship goals they said, relationship goals others echoed

We were once kit and kin

We were once kit and kin

Till the day you packed and left, off you went without a word

We were once kit and kin

We were once kit and kin

You went away and never returned, and when you did we built a wall

We were once kit and kin

Where’s my bulldozer, time to pull down some walls

  2. Nice poem. Short and concise.

Reminds me of one of my former ‘kit and kin’ like that.
    ‘Once’ upon a time….

  3. I guess we all have experienced it in diverse forms. But what could be the reason for such error in human relationships.
Many of us have not yet realised that human relationship is an art to be learned or have not yet learned how important this this. Ever wonder why Human relations and emotional intelligence is well thought in many post graduate studies.

As seen in the poem, I can deduct that people act that way for various reasons.
    1. Unconsciously, usually with some inferiority complex
    2. Those with hidden beefs
    3. When they feel that you are not worth the friendship and not worthy of the next chapter of their life.
    4. When the relationship is parasitic etc.
